After Sergei Polunin graduated from the British Royal Ballet School, he became a first soloist at the Royal Ballet in 2009. In 2010 Polunin became the Royal Ballet's principal. Parts performed: De Grieux (“Manon’ by K. MacMillan), Solor (“La Bayadere” staged by N. Makarova), Count Albrecht (“Giselle”), Nutcracker-Prince (“Nutcracker”), Prince (“Cinderella”), Prince Desiree (“Sleeping Beauty”), Armand (“Marguerite and Armand” by F. Ashton), Knave of Hearts (“ Alice's Adventures in Wonderland” by Christopher Wheeldon).
In summer 2012, Polunin was invited to Russia by its famous ballet dancer and an artistic director of ballet of the two Russian theatres Igor Zelensky, and became a principal dancer with The Moscow Stanislavsky Ballet Company and Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
His parts in Moscow include: Franz (“Coppelia”), Crown Prince Rudolf (“Mayerling”), Basil (“Don Quixote”), Prince Siegfried (“Swan Lake”), Albrecht (“Giselle”), Prince Nutcracker (“The Nutcracker”).
